NAM delivered Statement at the Seminar of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT)

Thematic Seminar on pillar I (disarmament) of the NPT in preparation for the 2020 Review Conference concluded its two-day session (29-30 January 2020) in United Nations Office at Geneva.

NPT thematic seminar is part of the preparation process of the 2020 Review Conference of the Parties to the NPT to promote an inclusive, multi stakeholder dialogue platform. Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan attended the thematic seminar and gave a statement on behalf of the NAM States Parties to the NPT in the session entitled "Mechanisms and initiatives in support of NPT implementation". The statement re-emphasized the major elements of NAM position with regards to NPT as reflected in the Final Document of the NAM Baku Summit.
